Mac Tools Calendar Review – Fantastical

A mac tools calendar helps you keep track of important dates, such as birthdays, weddings and other work commitments. It’s easy to double book yourself, or forget important appointments without a mac tools calendar. There are a lot of well-designed applications that allow you to stay organized. The most effective ones are based on Apple’s style and design guidelines, and include native macOS notifications today widgets and menu bar icons, and support multi-account syncing and color-coding, and simple guidelines to help you stay on your track.

Fantastical is a highly efficient menu bar calendar with a simple interface and a lot of features. It’s a bit less Apple-y than the other choices on this list, however it does all the features that most people require from a calendar application. Its left panel for example isn’t displaying a list of your calendars which is a waste of space as most apps. Instead, it provides space to display an agenda view, and for reminders. The UI also pays special attention to tiny details. If an event is listed in two calendars, Fantastical displays it with a pin-striped pattern to let you know which one it’s in.

The free version of Fantastical offers plenty of features to most people however the $6.99/month Flexibits Premium subscription offers a Calendly-style scheduling feature (which I rely on to manage interviews across time zones) and a variety of customization options, and unlimited Calendar Sets that can be switched between depending on your current Focus mode or other variables. It also integrates with Trello and Todoist which lets you incorporate tasks from these apps into your calendar.
